Setup

Priced by what you actually import.

Everyone pays the same base. After that you pay per component, so a solo operator is not subsidising a fifteen-truck fleet, and a fifteen-truck fleet is not paying a flat fee that never covered the work.

Base setup$199

Every setup includes it. We create and configure your Firebase project, write your security rules, build your indexes, and set a billing cap so Google can never surprise you. Then your company profile, labour rates, tax settings, service types, and invoice branding — finished with a remote session to hand it over and prove it works.

How we get your data

We send a template pack, one sheet per module. If your current software exports, send that instead and skip the typing. You upload it to a private link — nothing goes by email. We load it into your Firebase and check it against the sheet, then one screen share walks your team through what landed where.

On-site work

Nearly every job is done remotely. On-site is available at $1,200 a day plus travel and lodging with a two-day minimum, but it is rarely worth the money, and we will tell you if we think it is not.

Before you pay us for equipment

If your customer equipment lives on paper or in your techs' heads rather than in a system, do not buy the equipment import. Let your techs capture each unit on the first visit through the app. It costs you nothing, and the data is better because the person entering it is standing in front of the equipment.

Support90 days free

Included with every purchase, starting the day your system goes live.

After that, choose whichever costs you less. $250 a year covers version updates and unlimited support. Or $125 per incident, paid only when something actually comes up. Two incidents in a year cost the same as the plan, so if you expect to need us more than twice, or you want the updates, the plan is the cheaper side of the coin.

Either way the software keeps running. Nothing expires, nothing locks, and no version you already have will ever stop working because you let a plan lapse.

Do it yourselfMost of it

The imports, definitely. Every module accepts the same spreadsheet templates we use, and you are welcome to load your own data and keep the money.

The Firebase project, we would rather do. You can, and the documentation covers it. But security rules and spending caps are the two things that are expensive to get wrong, and unpicking a misconfigured project afterwards costs more in support time than the base setup did in the first place. This is the one part where paying us is usually the cheaper decision.

Comparison

Five years, side by side.

At each vendor's cheapest published rate, billed annually in advance.

PlatformOne technicianFive technicians
PrecisionOps, licence only$500$500
PrecisionOps, licence plus base setup$759$999
Jobber Core$1,440$8,400
Housecall Pro Basic$3,540Seat allowance not published
ServiceTitanPricing not publishedPricing not published

Our own rows: the licence is $500 once. Base setup is $199 plus $60 per employee file, so $259 for one person and $499 for five. Neither row includes importing customers, equipment, fleet, or a price book — price those yourself in the calculator above.

Other vendors, from their own published pricing pages as of August 2026. Jobber Core is $24 per month prepaid with additional users at $29 per month each. Housecall Pro Basic is $59 per month prepaid, and their page does not state how many users that includes, so we have not guessed. ServiceTitan does not publish pricing at all, so there is no figure of theirs we can honestly put in a table. Published prices change — check theirs before you decide anything, and tell us if ours has gone stale.

Running costs

What else it costs to run.

Almost nothing, and less than you would expect. You own the software, so you own any accounts underneath it. Nothing here is billed by us, and none of it is required except the first line.

Calls, texts and email$0

Your techs already carry phones. PrecisionOps opens the dialler, the messaging app, and the mail app already on the device, with the customer, the job, and the message filled in. The text comes from a number your customer recognises, and it costs you nothing. If your company hands out phones, you are already paying for this once. There is no reason to pay for a second number to do the same job.

ServiceWhat it powersCost if you use it
Firebase (Blaze)requiredYour database, logins, file storage, sync, and background jobs. The one service PrecisionOps cannot run without.$0 for most single-crew shops. About $10 to $15 a month busy.
Google MapsJob map and address lookup.Free to 10,000 calls per product per month.
MapboxRoute planning and the dispatch map.Free tier covers a typical shop.
StripeTaking card payments in the field and through the portal.2.9% + 30¢ per transaction, taken from the payment.
SendGrid optionalOnly if you want the system to send email on its own, in bulk, from your company domain, with delivery tracking. Sending from the tech's phone is free and needs none of this.60-day trial, then from $19.95/mo for 100,000 emails.
Twilio optionalOnly if you want automated texts, reminders that fire without anyone tapping send, or one company number instead of your techs' own. Manual texting is free and needs none of this.$0.0083 per message, plus $1.15/mo per phone number.
Google VisionReading equipment plates and documents from a photo.Free monthly allowance, then per image.
GroqThe HVAC diagnostics engine.Fractions of a cent per diagnostic.
QuickBooks OnlineAccounting sync.No charge to connect. Uses your existing subscription.
DocuSignSignatures on estimates and contracts. No charge to connect. Uses your existing plan.
HearthOffering customers financing on larger jobs.No charge to connect. Partner terms apply.

Only Firebase is required. Everything else is optional, and the two people expect to pay for — texting and email — are free through the phone already in the van. A one-truck shop runs at $0 a month. A five-tech shop still runs at $0 a month unless it wants automated reminders or invoices sent from a company domain.

Rates are each vendor's published pricing, checked August 2026, and they change. Google retired the flat $200 monthly Maps credit in 2025, so free allowances no longer pool across products. We set a Firebase spending cap during setup so a runaway query cannot become a surprise invoice.
