PrecisionOps / About

Built by someone who has been there.

PrecisionOps is not a tech company's idea of what field service looks like. It is a technician's.

Over a decade in the service trades, including years turning wrenches in HVAC and running my own contracting business. I have lived every side of this work: field tech, business owner, the one answering the phone and the one on the roof. I know the rhythm of a service call, what techs actually need at their fingertips, and how the whole operation has to flow when the schedule fills up.

I also knew that the software we are expected to pay hundreds for every month was not built by anyone who had lived it. So I built something better.

PrecisionOps is precision operations for your business: tools that help you run tighter, work smarter, and keep more of what you earn. Not software designed by a tech company learning your industry from the outside, but by someone who has done the ride-alongs, the callbacks, and the 2 AM emergency calls.

Protean Hollow is a new name, but the experience behind it has been over a decade in the making, and we are just getting started.

Why it is priced this way

You should be able to find out what software costs.

Every competitor in this category either bills per seat forever or refuses to publish a number at all. Both make it hard to plan and easy to overpay.

One price

$500 once, unlimited users. A seat for your spouse who does the books, or your accountant at tax time, costs nothing extra. Per-seat billing punishes you for growing, and growing is the point.

Your infrastructure

Your data lives in your own Firebase project, not ours. That means Google bills you directly, we cannot hold your records hostage, and the software keeps working with or without us.

Published numbers

Every setup module, every support option, and every third-party service the app can use is listed with its cost on the pricing page, including the ones we do not bill for.

The company behind it

PrecisionOps is the software side of Protean Hollow.

Protean Hollow LLC is a one-shop operation in Spirit Lake, Idaho, covering general contracting, 3D printing and laser work, website building, and software. PrecisionOps is the software side, and it exists because the contracting side needed it first.

PrecisionOps has its own home here so it can stand on its own — its own downloads, its own pricing, its own support. The company, the legal documents, and everything else Protean Hollow does live on the company site.
